DASHING DARCEY Prevails Again!

Our two-year-old DASHING DARCEY is shaping up to be a very smart prospect for the 2023 turf season with three excellent starts to date! He didn’t waste time after breaking his maiden at Lingfield this month by securing a second victory over course and distance in the 1m Restricted Novice Stakes.

This latest victory demonstrated his fighting spirit when battling CHARACTER TESTING to the line after being headed, defying his winning penalty to triumph by a neck. As a son of MUHAARAR, he is bred to improve further with time and is definitely one to watch!

A Guineas Breeze Up graduate, we purchased DASHING DARCEY this year from Ardglas Stables for only 20,000 GNS as the first foal out of winning mare SO CLAIRE, bred by Charlock Stud.

Congratulations to his owners and the team at Varian Stables!

DASHING DARCEY followed up from last time, displaying a good attitude to fend off an improver, the pair clear; prominent, went with zest, led end of back straight, shaken up early in straight, tackled 1f out, always holding on; remains open to improvement.

The pair that dominated the betting came well clear and the time was almost 2 seconds quicker than the following division, a few further back also shaping with some encouragement with a view to handicaps.
