Bymiddaytomorrow scores on handicap debut and kicks off a cross-card double

A perfect start to the week for Opulence Thoroughbreds with Bymiddaytomorrow giving us our first winner of the day at Ayr!

Stepping up in trip on her handicap debut, the filly travelled strongly in the early stages under Kieran Shoemark, hitting the front at the furlong pole and putting the rest of the field behind her in impressive fashion, crossing the line nicely clear.  A really popular winner and just reward for a filly who will no doubt continue to progress having had the valuable experience and success now under her belt. 

Bymiddaytomorrow is a full sister to The Waco Kid, who also took a significant step forward when stepped up to seven furlongs before going on to make his mark at Group 3 level. Like her brother, she's taken time to strengthen after going through a growth spurt, and she's now very much on the right track. 

Congratulations to all connections, it was a great job by Ed and the team placing her there, and a smart ride from Kieran to bring it all together. Hopefully just the first of many for this filly!

It turned into quite the day all round for Opulence Thoroughbreds, with Berlinetta following up later that evening at Windsor to make it an across-the-card double.

BYMIDDAYTOMORROW (IRE) improved a bit to get off the mark, suited by the longer trip but also finding things easier up North; in touch, effort 2f out, led final 1f, ridden out; her future lies in nurseries and it's likely her mark of 72 will go up a a bit following this.

The southern raider improved to come out on top, though the only newcomer in second will prove the best prospect if all goes well.
