Sire of Champion Two-Year-Old Colt Camille Pissarro, and a Proven Source of Speed and Class
This quality bay filly by Wootton Bassett, out of Dutch Treaty, is the newest addition to the Opulence string. She is bred on the page for speed and class, out of a daughter of Dutch Art who is own sister to the Listed-winning sprinter Exhort. Dutch Treaty has already made a promising start at stud, with three winners from her six runners, among them the four-time winner Annie’s Song, who has also been placed twelve times and was third at Listed level.
Her family is one of real strength. Her second dam, Entreat, is the dam of eight winners from nine runners, headed by Gr.1-placed Golden Horde, who has earned over £424,000 and won the Gr.2 Richmond Stakes at two. Entreat is also the dam of Camille Pissarro, the Gr.1 Prix Jean-Lagardère winner who was crowned Champion Two-Year-Old Colt in France, and who is by this filly’s own sire. It is a family that clearly responds to Wootton Bassett, which is an encouraging sign. Further back, the page features the Gr.2 winner Producer and the legendary American champion Serena’s Song, a Gr.1 winner many times over.
She goes into training with Ed Walker, whose Lambourn yard has a proven record of developing talented fillies for us, and we cannot wait to see how she progresses in the coming months!
