We are thrilled to announce the purchase of a striking filly by Mehmas, out of CatchingSnowflakes, secured at the Tattersalls Book 2 Sale. She will now join the Lambourn stables of Ed Walker.

At the sale, she stood out for her athletic walk and balance. A filly that oozed both class and composure, she looks every inch an early type with the scope to progress into a high-quality three-year-old.

We are thrilled to place her in the expert hands of Ed Walker, whose results with Opulence Thoroughbreds have gone to strength to strength this year, including a win in the Group 2 Lowther Stakes. His skill in nurturing and developing young talent gives us every confidence this filly can continue our winning momentum.

There’s a great deal to look forward to: a proven sire, a highly promising dam line, and a trainer who knows how to bring out the best in his horses. This is a filly that excites us on every level.

Mehmas continues to produce high-quality performers across all distances, with his progeny including the likes of Supreme Power, Lusail, Malavath and Going Global, all testament to his ability to upgrade his mares.

Her dam, CatchingSnowflakes, is a daughter of Galileo, and represents that perfect cross of speed and stamina. She has already proven her worth as a broodmare, producing The Waco Kid, a tough and consistent 7f horse who won the Group 3 Tattersalls Stakes at two. The family continues to develop, with close relations adding further depth to the page, making this filly not only an exciting racing prospect but a valuable future broodmare in her own right.
