We are delighted to announce the purchase of Dubai Opera, dam to Group 1 winning Opera Ballo!

We are looking toward an exciting new chapter at Opulence Bloodstock with the addition of Dubai Opera, a blue-blooded mare from an exceptional maternal line, and who is a proven producer of elite-level performers. Dubai Opera has joined our broodmare band and will begin the next chapter of her career at Fittocks Stud in Newmarket, a farm with an outstanding reputation for developing top quality young stock and nurturing some of Europe’s finest broodmares.

Dubai Opera has already established herself as a quality broodmare, with three winners from four runners on the track, including two Stakes horses. Most notable of these is five-time Stakes winner Opera Ballo, who claimed Group 1 success in Meydan this year in the Jebel Hatta Stakes, having secured the Group 2 Al Rashidiya as a three-year-old. He further propelled to glory when besting Field of Gold in the Group 2 bet365 Mile at Sandown this season, and narrowly missed out on the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot by three quarters of a length. 

She has a cracking City of Troy foal on the ground that will be sold as a yearling in 2027, and is in foal once more to Ghaiyyath, sire of Opera Ballo. The Group 1 winner’s full sibling is due in April next year and will be an extremely exciting prospect for us.

Pedigree

Dubai Opera is a daughter of the legendary Invincible Spirit, one of Europe’s most influential stallions of the modern era. A sire of 22 Group 1 winners worldwide, including Kingman, Magna Grecia, Charm Spirit, Shalaa and six-time Group 1 victor Moonlight Cloud, he has established himself as one of the thoroughbred’s most important sources of speed, class and consistency.

Her dam Emily Bronte was a high-class daughter of Machiavellian, herself a proven producer of multiple Stakes performers, and a Group 3 winner in her own right. She descends from a strong and flourishing maternal line, with successive generations of daughters continuing to add depth and quality to the family. Dubai Opera has placed herself firmly within these ranks and we are delighted to have her fly the flag for our bloodstock operation.
