A very good-looking colt, this son of SIOUX NATION has plenty of scope and class about him. He has a lovely loose movement that extends to all of his paces, and covered the ground well in the breeze. He has a real honest look about him and performed everything in a professional manner, from the breeze right up until the fall of the hammer. With speed on both sides of his pedigree, he should excel as a two-year-old, but has more than enough scope to progress on at three. 

This is a very masculine horse with a great step to him and is clean-legged. He isn’t over-spoilt or over-produced from a vendor that can be hard on them and has a large draft into the breezing season. He was a very good purchase price in my opinion and was a little overlooked. - Richard Ryan

Pedigree

SIOUX NATION has been thriving as a first season sire - his first crop of two-year-olds a huge success with two Group-winners already in LAKOTA SIOUX and SIDNEYARMS CHELSEA. He was a high-class two-year-old himself, winning the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes and Group 2 Norfolk Stakes, before progressing on again at three to win the Group 3 Lacken Stakes. He is a son of the great SCAT DADDY, who was renowned for his phenomenal turn of foot, and sired some of the best racehorses of recent times in JUSTIFY, CARAVAGGIO and NO NAY NEVER. Going by his excellent first year, SIOUX NATION looks a very exciting sire indeed.

DULJANAH has produced one three-time winner so far with SANDY PARADISE, trained by Richard Hughes. Her own dam, and our colt’s grandam, is the full-sister to HOLY ROMAN EMPEROR, the top class multiple Group 1-winning juvenile who now stands at stud for Coolmore, as well as Group-performing mare MILANOVA. The line descends from the great SECRETARIAT, who won the American Triple Crown and is still regarded as one of the greatest racehorses of all time.
