This gorgeous filly was our most expensive purchase at 180,000 GNS, but well worth it when you see her. Not overly big, she exudes class and will be quite something when she fills out. She is athletic and well-balanced, and very much looks the type that will go on to impress on the track.
She is the second of two fillies that have been selected to go into training with our newest trainer, William Haggas. Renowned as one of the very top trainers in the UK, William has won an incredible seven Classics and 162 Group races in total, 31 of those at Group 1 level.
He was delighted when we were able to secure her on the second day of Book 2. In fact, we have never heard William quite so animated than after the hammer landed:

Pedigree
Her pedigree speaks for itself, as the daughter of impeccably-bred AUSTRALIA, exceptional middle distance son of Derby-winning GALILEO and seven-time Group 1 winner OUIJA BOARD, who won not only the Oaks and Hong Kong Vase, but also the Breeders Cup Filly & Mare Turf on two occasions. AUSTRALIA has produced a number of the top middle distance horses of the moment, including OCEAN ROAD, BROOME and ORDER OF AUSTRALIA, and has 21 Group winners to his name. Despite his pedigree, he was a talented two-year-old, winning the Group 3 Juvenile Turf Stakes before progressing on at three to win not only the Epsom Derby, but also the Irish Derby and Juddmonte International.

Our filly’s dam, BLACK MASCARA, is by another Derby winner in AUTHORIZED. She is a successful broodmare with five winners from six runners, including LAMPANG, five-time winner with a top rating of 106. Her own dam, PINA COLADA, was a Group performer in America and out of DREI, who was a remarkable broodmare, producing stallion TRIPLE THREAT, who won three Group races and placed in four more before retiring to stud, as well as the dam of Champion older miler and successful sire CANFORD CLIFFS, who was second to FRANKEL in the 2011 Sussex Stakes.
