This colt had an outstanding action when we saw him at the sales, and this has carried through to his training, where he has been highlighted as having a willing, genuine character with a fantastic movement. He cost more than some of our other purchases, but trainer Ed Walker shared our excitement for him and we were delighted to be able to secure him for his yard.

His family have all been proficient at two years old and based on his physical we think he will have the potential to excel further at three in the same manner as his American damsire, ROYAL ACADEMY, and own sire, who was a listed winner at two and top miler at three and four.

Out of a Listed-winning dam, our colt is the sibling to five winners including ARCTIC SOUND, triumphant in the Group 3 Tattersalls Stakes and second by a neck in the German 2000 Guineas. ARCTIC SOUND beat Godolphin Group 1 winner LINE OF DUTY and won over £200,000 in prize money, receiving a TimeForm rating of 104.

The dam is the half-sister to Group 2-winning OCEAN RIDGE and full-sister to Listed-winner FOKINE, who took home £245,000 during his career. Having already succeeded with a son of DUBAWI (ARCTIC SOUND was sired by POET’S VOICE), we are confident that the cross with be another triumph with NIGHT OF THUNDER, who is performing still better than POET’S VOICE at stud!
